This was announced on September 9th by the chairman of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleksiy Kucher during a visit to the State Enterprise “Malyshev Plant”. The governor assured the management and staff of the company that he is interested in the development of “Malyshev Plant”. “MP” is an industry-forming enterprise with a significant number of jobs, it is a large taxpayer and a contributor to the budget.

Oleksiy Kucher noted that in the near future he plans to organize a meeting of the Director General of “MP” with the management of “Ukrzaliznytsia” to discuss providing “Malyshev Plant” with new orders for the manufacture and repair of engines for railway transport. The possibility of engines manufacturing for the purpose of import substitution of power units manufactured in the Russian Federation is being discussed. The governor also plans to meet with the Minister of Infrastructure to speed up the resolution of this issue.
"If we manage to provide “Malyshev Plant” with such an order, there will be a lot of work for the enterprise. We will be striving to acheive it together, " Oleksiy Kucher said.
Vasyl Krylas, Director General of “MP”, thanked the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration for the company's support and stressed the importance of providing the Plant with orders in a key area of activity - the production of special purpose products:
"MP" is ready to manufacuture "Oplot" tanks, but the components of this fighting vehicle require import substitution. Currently, research and development work on import substitution of units and devices supplied from Russia is underway. At this time, a significant amount of work has already been done. Therefore, I am more than sure that the state orders for Oplot tanks will be received. As for the near future, there is a large government order for other military equipment, and we will participate in its fulfillment. In addition, there is an agreement with the foreign customer to sign a contract in which “Malyshev Plant” will be cooperating with Kharkiv Morozov Design Bureau”.
The head of “Malyshev Plant” also outlined the social prospects of the enterprise:
"We definitely plan to raise wages. I would like the workers of “Malyshev Plant” to have the highest salary in the city, and we will achieve this goal. Our salary depends on the results of work. Unfortunately, last year was unprofitable, but we are improving the situation: according to the results of 8 months of 2020, labor productivity has increased by 75% compared to the same period last year. The enterprise sets big goals, so there is every chance to increase wages at “Malyshev Plant”.
